Purpose of the Practical Skill Module

The focus of the learning in this module is on providing the learner an opportunity to prepare their workstation for a body therapy treatment, record information on the client card; body wrap/mask, body exfoliation and artificial self-tan application. Approximately two thirds of the practical training may be provided in a simulated work or physically in a work environment.

List of Practical Skill Activities:

• PM-06-PS01 Prepare a workstation, in accordance with sanitation and sterilisation procedures for a manual body care treatment
• PM-06-PS02 Receive and consult a client to determine the client’s body needs and make treatment including full body measurements, height, weight and Body Mass Index (BMI)
• PM-06-PS03 Provide a full body exfoliation treatment in line with the treatment plan
• PM-06-PS04 Provide a full body wrap/mask treatment in line with the treatment
• PM-06-PS05 Perform a full body artificial self-tan treatment
• PM-06-PS06 Provide post care body treatment
